How can I report on all transactions from cardholders that result in either USD$ or Obsidian reward points being given or taken from my account so that I can determine reconciliation or easily find discrepancies?

You will receive a Transaction Report from Obsidian that includes the following information:

  • Transaction ID – the unique identification number assigned to a transaction
  • Transaction Status – the current processing status of a transaction
  • Payment Transaction Status:
    • Authorized – transactions with this status have been authorized but will not be sent for settlement until a capture is performed
    • Declined – transactions with this status were not approved. These transactions may not be captured and submitted for settlement
    • Refund – transactions with this status have been submitted and authorized for a refund
    • Settled – transactions with this status have been approved and successfully settled
  • Reward Transaction Status:
    • Purchased
    • Declined
    • Refund
  • Submit Date/Time – date and time the transaction was submitted to the payment gateway. The time displays according to the time zone set for your account
  • Cardholder Name – the name of the cardholder associated with the transaction
  • Payment Type – the type of Obsidian card or reward points used for a payment or refund
  • Payment Amount – the total amount of a payment or transaction, inclusive of sales tax, freight, shipping, and/or duty
  • Settlement Date/Time – date and time the transaction was picked up and sent for settlement. The time displays according to the time zone set for your account
  • Settlement Amount – the total settled amount of a transaction
